Library services
An extensive library collection of some 43,000 items comprises books, videos, DVDs, CDs, magazines, posters and kits has been developed to support courses taught at Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE.
Cairns and Innisfail have staffed libraries, and a remote service is available to Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE staff and students working externally and at other campuses.
The library provides access to online books, journals (magazines) and full text databases relevant to coursework.
Computer access is available through the Electronic Learning Centre (ELC), a computer lab adjoining the Cairns library. Computers are available for research, study and coursework. Equipped with Microsoft Office products and Internet Explorer, printing and scanning facilities are also available.
Training in research skills, online resources and information literacy for students is available. Ask the library staff for details.
Photocopying facilities are available in Cairns. Please bring coins as the library cannot change money.
