Far northern secondary school students put their cookery and hospitality skills to the test when Tropical North Queensland TAFE hosted the eleventh annual Schools Culinary Challenge.
Teams of six students representing four schools prepared and served three course meals under the guidance of mentors from the hospitality industry and the watchful eyes of judges from Cairns Region Group Training and TAFE.
Organised by TAFE in partnership with Cairns Region Group Training and the Business Liaison Association, the challenge is designed to give students an insight into the hospitality industry and the careers it offers.
