Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE recognises gaining employment is often the primary goal for students who complete TAFE training. Our graduates are qualified and ready to work at the successful completion of their training. Some students are also available for casual or part-time work while they study. The Institute's Student Services team provides a range of services to help students to find employment, including:- Referrals to employment agencies and employers who have registered position vacancies
- Maintaining a job board that advertises position vacancies for potential employers
- Assistance with employment related issues such as resume preparation, responding to selection criteria and preparing for an interview
- Advice about positions advertised in the press and through employment agencies.

Job Vacancies
Tropical North Queensland TAFE employs more than 300 full and part time academic, administrative and support staff and approximately 300 casual staff across our eight campuses. TAFE is a division of the Queensland Department of Education and Training and employs staff under Queensland Public Service conditions and agreements. Teaching staff are employed under the Queensland Government TAFE Teachers' Award.
